It's All Just Dirt

A friend and I were watching as a man was polishing, and fondling, his new bright red sports convertible. He obviously was in love with the car as he couldn't take his eyes off it. This got me to thinking about "things". I came to the conclusion that "things", like sports cars, mansions, yachts, flat screen television, space shuttles, Iphones, grand pianos, skyscrapers, ocean liners, buttons, everything on this earth is basically, and fundamentally, dirt. That man's sports car was just a pile of dirt, with some imagination thrown in. All life on Earth is just dirt, with some of God's imagination thrown in. The only resource to build anything out of on Earth is dirt (generic term "dirt", which refers to minerals). Everything on Earth is dirt + imagination, either God's, or man's, or both. Anything we can imagine, we can build out of this dirt. Everything starts out, and ends up, as dirt. So don't take it so badly when you see someone with a bigger pile of dirt than you. After all, it's only dirt.
